Former bus inspector shot, killed in Ilocos

STA. LUCIA, Ilocos Sur — A former bus inspector was shot and killed in broad daylight in front of his house in Barangay San Juan, this town last Wednesday morning, a belated police report stated. The victim had just entered the gate of his house together with his child when the two unidentified men shot him from behind with caliber .45 and 9mm pistols. PO2 Michael Angelo Arcano, duty investigator of the Sta. Lucia police station, identified the victim as Amado Ricanor, 56, former inspector of the Times Transit Bus Line and resident of Barangay San Juan, Sta. Lucia. Investigation showed that the shooting happened at about 7:20 in the morning.The victim suffered several bullet wounds in the back and head, causing his instant death. Police found four shells of 9mm bullets and two shells of caliber .45 bullets at crime scene. Arcano said that he was looking into several angles in the killing. (Freddie Lazaro) Manila Bulletin
