Camp Bado Dangwa, Benguet: PCSUPT EUGENE G MARTIN, Regional Director of PRO-COR stated that one of the priorities of PRO-CORDILLERA is to intensify the arrest of criminal elements in order to maintain peace and security in this Highland.
As a result, joint elements of PID, La Trinidad MPS and Tublay MPS, Benguet PPO conducted simultaneous operation that led to the arrest of the Top Most Wanted Person for Robbery with Violence and Intimidations Against Person in CC Nr 07-CR-7164 issued by the RTC, Branch 10, La Trinidad, Benguet on July 5, 2008.
The suspects were identified as Rhegan Asbeyan – Nr 2 TMWP of Benguet, Province; Roger Tomino – Nr 6 TMWP of Benguet Province; Hanzie Oide – Nr 9 TMWP of Benguet Province; Melvin Bantasan – Nr 3 TMWP of Tublay, Benguet; Lito Abance- Nr 4 TMWP of Tublay, Benguet; Deo Quinto- Nr 5 TMWP of Tublay, Benguet; and, Ador Montes- Nr 6 TMWP of Tublay, Benguet. The commission of the crime was transpired at Brgy Tili Tublay, Benguet sometime on May 2008. After months of evading the rule of law, they were finally captured and were turned over to the court concerned and subsequently detained at the Benguet Provincial Jail.
